It is only after we mourn for our sins and become contrite, that we can become meek. When we are meek then we become teachable and the Holy Spirit can teach us many things about Word of God. “Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.” Psalm 138:6
In Isaiah 54:8 “We are the clay; you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.” When we allow the spirit to work in us, He moulds us into a vessel of honour for His own use; he breaks our self-will and gives us HIS WILL, we become humble and gentle because we realize that it is not by might or by our power but BY THE RUACH or SPIRIT OF GOD.
Who is meeker than Yeshua himself who left His Kingly throne above to offer himself as a sacrifice naked on the cross?
“Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;” Hebrews 5:8
And as followers of Yeshua we are called to be humble and gentle and sober in all things because we recognize is the not by might nor by power but by the Spirit of the Lord, that we are. So, we do not boast of anything because it is the work of the spirit in changing and moulding us into the vessel of honor. He is the potter, and we are the clay. For God to have His will in our lives we have allow Him to break our will.
It is in our meekness that we…. hunger and thirst after the righteousness of God…and the scripture says….
